9/11

I remember being in school one Tuesday afternoon with my friends, when the bell started ringing and all the teachers rounded us up to go into the school hall.
I was only 8 years old, so didn't really understand what was going on.
I just remember one of the teachers in hysterics as her daughter was in New York that week (Luckily she wasn't involved)
As an 8 year old, you don't really understand what terrorism is, why people do it, or what they achieve from it.
What i did realise was that, a LOT of people lost their life that day.
All those innocent people going about their daily life with no idea as to what was going to happen literally brings tears to my eyes.
Mums & Dads going to work to earn a living for their children.
9/11 is such a heartbreaking day.
My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives.
Gone, but never forgotten.

Birthday Money Well Spent!

As i mentioned in my previous post, it was my 20th birthday the weekend just gone.
Although, because i work full time and buy myself everything i want/need/see.
I was kind of struggling on ideas as to what i wanted for my birthday, so i opted for the boring option - money.
I normally hate getting/giving money for birthdays because there's no thought into it whatsoever.
I personally love going to peoples favourite shops and buying them a gift card, or buying them a meaningful pandora charm.
But, Seen as it's now bitter weather, i decided to nip into town and treat myself to a new winter wardrobe with my pennies.

I can definitely see this jumper as being my winter favourite. It's a gold/mocha colour in person, and also has a glitter effect to give it that girly glam look.
It's quite a short baggy jumper, so it gives you that sort of dressed down/casual feel whilst wearing it.
I'm going to team this with some thick leggings, cropped brown boots and some bangles to give it a boho sort of look.

The colour of this jumper is gorgeous!
If you know me personally, you'll know my favourite colour is coral/peach, so when i saw this little beauty i snapped it up.
It's quite a long jumper so will definitely keep you warm on winter nights.
The style of it sort of reminds me of the jumpers my nanna used to knit me when i was little, i love that style.

A lady came into my work with this exact jumper on and i just fell in love with it.
The colour is just gorgeous, nice and bright to cheer you up on them miserable winter days.
It's a crop jumper so it's not really the most practical to keep you warm, but i suppose as long as you look good.

This top was on the sale rack for £2.
There wasn't a chance i was missing out on this.
It fits as a peplum top and looks so pretty with a pair of jeans and some ankle boots.
The pastel colour definitely sold it to me.

I apologise for the quality of this picture. (Don't know what happened)
I love Primarks new range of tshirts, there's loads to choose from.
I love the print on this, roses are my favourite flower.

Ever since i was a child, i've been in LOVE with mickey mouse.
This tshirt caught my eye straight away when i saw it and rooted around for 5 minutes trying to find my size as i reallllyyyy wanted it.
I love how it's black and white, and simple.
Makes it not too in your face.
         Primark.

Tops of this style seem to be in fashion.
My friend has the dress top on with a pair of converse and it made me really want one.
I reckon it would look really nice with a pair of skinny jeans and some ugg style boots on to keep it in line with the winter theme.
Primark.

I might sound sad, but this is one of my best buys.
I've got it on as i'm writing this blog.
Comfy doesn't even come close, it's nice to wear just to wear round the house when it get's a bit chilly.
Primark.

Every year do i buy these, they're one of my winter must haves.
They're so practical, whether it be with jeans or leggings.
Plus they keep my feet nice and warm on the way to work.
Definitely getting these in every colour.
            Primark.

I lost my scarf on a ride at the bonfire faire last year, so i've been on the look out for a new one this year.
Then i stumbled across this beauty.
You can't really see in the pictures, but it's got a cream pattern with a gold shimmer effect, which means i can wear it with near enoguh everything - bonus.
Primark.

I'm always buying ipad cases, but they never seem to last, as they always fade or break, so when i saw this pouch for £3, i couldn't resist.
My ipad fits nice and snug inside it, aswell as stopping it from getting scratched.
What's not to love?
         Primark.

This is without a doubt my best buy out of the lot.
If you know me, you'll know that i'm River Island obsessed.
So i took myself upstairs to the Bags/Purses department, and i was there for literally 5 minutes before i found this little beauty.
It has one section for Cards, and another for Change.
I love the gold and white look, classy ;)

My 20th Birthday!

Well what a weekend!
It was my birthday yesterday, finally in my twenties!
I've been dreading turning 20 as I wanted to stay a teenager for ever!
But hey ho!

I decided to go into town for my birthday and finish off my teenage years with a bang.
Boy do I feel sorry for myself.

My best friend Nadine & all my work girls came to make it a night to remember.
I loved it so much! ♡

Benefit Birthday Haul.

Okay, so recently, i've become obsessed with Benefit makeup.
So as it's my birthday on Sunday, when my mum asked what i wanted, it didn't take me long to decide.
I explained to her that i wanted money for makeup, and that i'd seen some Benefit Beauty Kits that i really liked.
So she gave me the money, and i took myself off to Debenhams to the makeup counter, where i spent roughly 15 minutes before i actually decided what i wanted.
Here they are:

Primping with the stars
This beauty kit caught my eye simply because of the packaging.
It's so girly and chic, and sort of reminds me of the 1940's or something.
In the kit contains:
They're Real Mascara.
Stay Dont Stray Concealer Primer
Benetint Cheek & Lip Stain
Some Kind-a-Gorgeous Foundation for Complexions.
Girl Meets Pearl Liquid Pearl for Face
The Porefessional to minimise pores.
I used every single thing in this set, as it just makes my skin look so much fresher and clearer.
I'll be doing a review on each item individually shortly

How to look the best at everything
Now with a name like this, you'd be silly not to buy it ;)
I was deciding whether to buy this kit or not as i also wanted the Sugar Licious kit aswell, but as you can see from the picture, i got both!
This kit contains:
Porefessional to minimise pores
Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation
Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer
Hellow Flawless Powder Cover Up.
My favourite product from this kit was definitely the Hello Flawless Foundation, it leaves your skin feeling so smooth with such a good coverage, and it doesn't look like your face is caked in the stuff either. Bonus!

SugarLicious
Now as you can tell, the other two kits were more about the face makeup, but i thought that my lips needed a little treat aswell, so i treated myself to this little beauty.
In this kit i got:
Benetint Rose Lip & Cheek Stain
High Bean Complexion Enhancer
Sugar Bomb Face Powder
Ultra Plush Lip gloss.
I'm in love with the Benetint Lip Stain, because it gives my lips such a rosy yet natural colour, it's to die for.
Will definitely be purchasing the full item.

Wattsup Highlighter For Face
This product is definitely worth the money, i've had so many compliments since using it, that i will definitely be repurchasing this beauty.
It applies as cream, but as you rub it in, it's got a powder finish, so your face doesn't feel cake in makeup.
To apply this, you just simply glide on cheek & brow bones, and the rub in with the blender attached on the end.
This product was £24.50, but worth every penny!
